Deferrals, Event Changes, and Name Changes Policy
These terms and conditions outline the policies for deferrals, event changes, and name changes for all Fylde Coast Runners events, including road, trail, and ultra events. By registering, participants acknowledge and agree to abide by these policies.
1. Deferrals

- Road and Trail Events: Participants may defer their entry up to 24 hours before the event start time.
- Ultra Events: Participants may defer their entry up to 30 days before the event start time.
- Fee: A deferral fee of £5.00 will be applied for each deferral request.
- Limitations: Only one deferral per original entry is permitted. Deferrals may be transferred to the next available event date for the same event.
- Late Deferral Requests: Requests submitted after the stated time limits will not be actioned, and the participant will forfeit their entry without refund. However, the deferral fee may still be charged.
- Road and Trail Events: Participants may change to another event distance up to 24 hours before the event start time.
- Ultra Events: No event changes are permitted for ultra events.
- Fee: A change fee of £5.00 will be applied for each event change request.
- Limitations: Only one event change per original entry is allowed.
- Late Event Change Requests: Requests submitted after the stated time limit will not be actioned, and the original entry remains in place. The change fee may still be charged.
- All Events: Name changes are allowed for all events up to 72 hours before the event start time.
- Fee: A name change fee of £5.00 will be applied for each name change request.
- Limitations: Only one name change per original entry is permitted.
- Late Name Change Requests: Requests submitted after the stated time limit will not be actioned, and the original name on the entry remains. The name change fee may still be charged.
- All deferral, event change, and name change requests must be submitted through the official Fylde Coast Runners website or an approved contact method.
- All fees are payable upon submission of the request. Changes will only be processed once the payment has been received.
- Participants will receive confirmation of the requested change upon successful completion.
- Each entry is non-transferable except as outlined above. Unauthorised transfers will result in disqualification.
- Changes beyond the initial one per entry are strictly not permitted.
- Fees paid for deferrals, event changes, and name changes are non-refundable, regardless of whether the change is ultimately actioned due to missed deadlines or participant cancellation.
- Fylde Coast Runners reserves the right to make final decisions regarding deferrals, event changes, and name changes. All decisions are final and binding.
