Road Running Events Terms and Conditions
These terms and conditions apply to all Fylde Coast Runners road running events, including 2k, 5k, 10k, half marathon, and marathon distances. By registering for any Fylde Coast Runners event, you agree to comply with these terms.
1. Eligibility and Age Requirements
By registering for a Fylde Coast Runners event, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

- 2K Event: Open to participants aged 4 years and above. Participants under 11 must be accompanied by an adult.
- 5K Event: Open to participants aged 11 years and above.
- 10K Event: Open to participants aged 15 years and above.
- Half Marathon: Open to participants aged 17 years and above.
- Marathon: Open to participants aged 18 years and above.
- Proof of age may be required at registration or packet pickup. Fylde Coast Runners reserves the right to verify the age of participants and disqualify any individuals who do not meet the age requirements.
- All participants must register through the official Fylde Coast Runners website or an approved registration platform.
- Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, except under circumstances specified in Section 8.
- Entries are non-transferable between events or participants unless explicitly allowed by Fylde Coast Runners.
- By entering, participants confirm that they are medically fit to undertake the event and have no medical conditions that may affect their ability to participate.
- Participants should consult with a healthcare professional before the event if they have any pre-existing conditions.
- Participants assume responsibility for their physical and mental fitness to participate in the race.
- Participants are required to follow all safety instructions provided by event organizers, race officials, and volunteers.
- Running with headphones is discouraged for safety reasons, as all participants need to be fully aware of their surroundings.
- Personal support vehicles, bikes, or pets are not permitted on the race course.
- Participants must remain on the marked course at all times. Leaving the course may result in disqualification.
- The event organisers reserve the right to delay or cancel the event in case of severe weather or other safety risks.
- All participants will be provided with timing chips or other methods for tracking time.
- Participants are responsible for wearing the timing chip correctly; incorrect use may lead to inaccurate or unrecorded results.
- Official results will be posted on the Fylde Coast Runners website following the event.
- All participants must wear their official race bib visibly on the front of their shirts during the event.
- Race bibs and timing chips are non-transferable.
- Failure to wear the official race bib may result in disqualification.
- By entering the event, participants grant Fylde Coast Runners permission to use any photographs or videos taken during the event for promotional purposes.
- Participants who do not wish to appear in event media must notify the organizers in writing prior to the event.
- In the event of cancellation due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., weather, governmental restrictions, safety concerns), Fylde Coast Runners will provide alternative options, such as deferral to a future event.
- Refunds are not provided, except in extraordinary circumstances as determined by Fylde Coast Runners.
- Participation is at the individual’s own risk. Fylde Coast Runners, its affiliates, sponsors, and volunteers are not liable for any injuries, losses, or damages sustained by participants.
- Participants waive and release Fylde Coast Runners from any claims arising from personal injury, property damage, or loss occurring as a result of participation in the event.
- Participants who fail to adhere to these terms, exhibit unsportsmanlike conduct, or act in a way that endangers others will be disqualified and may face a ban from future events.
- Decisions on disqualification made by race officials are final.
- Fylde Coast Runners reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions as necessary. Updated terms will be posted on the official event website, and participants will be notified of significant changes.
