Our half marathon delivers the same spectacular landscapes in a slightly shorter but no less rewarding format. Open to runners aged 17+, the race begins in the seaside town of Spittal before winding its way to a spectacular finish on Holy Island. With stunning coastal views and a supportive atmosphere, this event is perfect for both seasoned runners and those tackling their first half marathon. Limited to 500 entries, it’s your chance to be part of a truly memorable race day — an adventure filled with endurance, scenery, and achievement.

Bib Pack Collection |
ON THE DAY: Bib pack collection will be available from 7.30am at the start point in Spittal. Bib packs will include a race number which must be worn during the event and a chip timing tag to record your performance. SATURDAY COLLECTION: You can also collect your bib pack the day before the events. Our pop-up gazebo will be located in the main car park on Holy Island and will be open between 10.30am and 12 noon. |

Tides |
The safe crossing times for the causeway to Holy Island is 8.40am until 3.30pm. Outside of these times the road will be flooded. The time limit for the event is 6 hours (marathon), 4 hours (half marathon). |

Here’s how it works: Park at the finish on Holy Island, jump on the coach to Spittal (the start), run the race, and your car will be waiting for you at the end. • Ticket price: £6.50 (book when you enter) • Coach leaves Holy Island at 9.45am. • You can only drive onto Holy Island after 8.40am (because of the tides). • The coach is before the race only – there is no bus after you finish. |
