A warm welcome awaits you at Walney School, Sandy Gap Lane, Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria LA14 3JT for the inaugural 10k & 5k event on the island. We also have a 1 mile family fun run.
• 1 Mile start at 9.30am
• 5k & 10k start at 10.30am
The routes are certified accurate 10k & 5k distance by the Association of UK Course Measurers. The event is licensed by UK Athletics and organised under their rules.

At race HQ you will find the registration desks where you can collect your race number. There are also plenty of toilets, baggage and car key storage.

REGISTRATION
Entry into the event is open to everyone of all abilities. Age limits apply.
• 10k - 15 and over on the day of the race
• 5k - 11 and over on the day of the race
• Fun Run - 4 and over on the day of the race
Online entry is the quickest method and we do not charge a transaction or handling fee for debit/credit cards.

RUNNERS INFORMATION
Bib Numbers
Your bib number needs to be collected on race day from the race venue. Registration opens at 8.00am. Please bring your email confirmation or payment receipt with you when collecting to ensure a swift collection process.
You should arrive in plenty of time to avoid queues. There is an enquiry desk if you have any problems or questions about the event. There is also a supply of pins to attach your running number to the front of your running top.

Car Parking
Parking is available at the school.

Baggage Storage is available and is located next to the bib collection points within the school. Use this facility to store essential items you will need for when you have finished the event. Do not leave any valuables as this area is not manned.
A fully staffed Water Station is available at the halfway point on the route (10k) supplying 500ml bottled water. When throwing your bottle away, please use the bins/bags located approximately 100 metres after the water station. Water is also available at the finish.
AWARDS & PRIZES
All runners receive a commemorative medal and tech t-shirt at the finish line in the 10k & 5k, along with drinks and snacks to help you recover from your run. Fun Run finishers receive a commemorative medal.
Individual race winners in both the 10k & 5k are awarded prizes in the following categories:
First 3 Male winners in the race
First 3 Lady winners in the race
First Male Veteran over 40/45/50/55/60/65/70+
First Lady Veteran over 35/40/45/50/55/60/65+
Results will be published on this website shortly after the event once everyone has completed the event.
